Music was big this year for me. I have such a diverse taste that allows me to be open to so many genres and styles; I discovered lots of talent in 2015. Some of these artists have been around for years, others months.
2015 was a brilliant year for me fashion-wise. I wore outfits that I feel reflected my personality, and it's all stuff I wanted to wear. I think I'm finally beginning to look like a fashion blogger; I'm in the midst of finding my niche.
As this year I started a YouTube channel, I just had to film the popular 'What I Got For Christmas' video. I really wanted to show you all what I got! I love watching Christmas hauls, and I hope you like this one.

Here is my go to Christmas party look! There's red lips, gold neutral smokey eyes and a dewy complexion. I'll definitely be wearing this make up on Christmas Day or Christmas Eve.

I won an Instagram competition two weeks ago, and I got two tickets to see the ballet 'Coppélia' in the Civic Theatre on the 3rd of December. I think it's the first ballet I've ever seen, and it was spectacular!
It's beginning to feel a lot like Christmas, every where you go...
Finally it's December, and it's socially acceptable to turn up "All I Want for Christmas Is You" in the car and haul down the boxes of decorations from the attic. I went to my local shopping centre at the weekend and took some photographs of the flying snowmen and presents, as you do. There sparked an idea; I should write a Christmas to-do list for the blog! No, taking photos of snowmen and presents isn't one of the 25 things, but you can add it to the list if you like.
So, here I have for you the ultimate check list to fully complete by 11:59pm on Christmas Eve. Okay fine, get at least ten ticked off. No excuses!
Tomorrow is December 1st, meaning it will be finally time to deck your halls and rock around the Christmas tree! In my opinion, Christmas music is one of the best things about the season. While I'm a sucker for the classics, I enjoy hearing alternative, modern covers and original songs too. I decided, for those who want a bit of break from Slade and Shakin' Stevens, to compile a list of my favourite 'different' Christmas songs for you all to dance (or cry) to when decorating the house, or baking Christmas cookies, or whatever you fancy. There are a good few moving ones; you've been warned.

My first day of November was spent wandering around the streets of Dublin and browsing artsy fashion shops with some friends. And it was reasonably warm. On the first day of winter.

Costumes and decorations loom every corner in shops, tutorials are everywhere on YouTube, and clocks have turned back making nights longer and creepier - it must be Halloween soon!

This location was such an awkward place to take outfit photos, with cars passing and cars coming down the hill behind... Nonetheless the pictures turned out pretty good!
This post unfortunately is not an OOTD as the lighting quality wasn't the greatest in my living room. You can't exactly see the outfit clearly in the photos and I might use this outfit for a future feature anyway. However I did like this particular photo taken by my sister (thanks!) at my Mum and Dad's fiftieth last Saturday the 19th (which I will get to eventually) so I thought why not edit it to make it look cooler with a galaxy effect and include it in what actually is an update post on Queen of Quirk!
The closing Dublin Fashion Festival event, the Futuristic Beauty show, that I attended with my sister (who got the tickets - thanks Emily!), took place last Sunday. I had no idea what to expect, as this was to be no ordinary fashion show; a recycled design competition, futuristic body painting show and dance entertainment were only a few things to be hosted at the Ballsbridge Hotel. I had a feeling it would be at least an interesting end to the week!
In August I entered Stellar magazine's competition; a giveaway of 200 tickets to the preview of the H&M AW15 Collection in the shop in College Green, Dublin. I received an email just a few weeks ago confirming that I won a ticket and a plus one! I was ecstatic as I was dying to see the collection (which has now been available since 10th September by the way - hit the shop soon!) and attend the sophisticated event as part of the Dublin Fashion Festival!
