OUTFIT | Central Park Culottes

Sometimes throughout my three days in Manhattan, I’d be walking along a street where yellow taxis fly by and skyscrapers scrape the sky, and I’d just say to myself: “Wow. I’m in New York.”

TOP: HOLLISTER | CULOTTES: URBAN OUTFITTERS | SHOES: ADIDAS | BACKPACK: MICHAEL KORS | JEWELLERY: TED BAKER | SUNGLASSES: PENNEY'S

On our way to dinner at Sarabeth’s, we strolled briefly through a part of Central Park, where I fitted in an impromptu photoshoot, as you do as a twenty-first century teenager in the Big Apple.

I was sporting my new Adidas Superstars that I bought that day. My feet were killing me after walking in Converse all day - bad idea - and I was in need of more shoes, especially pairs for everyday wear. It was such a treat to get them, and let me tell you, they are some very comfortable shoes - I get the appeal.

Speaking of comfort, I have not talked about my versatile culottes on here enough. They are a dream, bought in the Urban Outfitters Christmas sale last December. They can be dressed up, down, sideways, you name it. Every time I leave the house wearing them I feel like I look like I know what I’m doing, fashion-conscious and classy. To walk out in these culottes into the streets of New York, well, that’s a whole other level of cool.

I’ve certainly mentioned my Michael Kors backpack, my pride and joy, and my Ted Baker jewellery are my day by day essentials. The white top was a gift from my mum for my 17th birthday - OH YEAH, I’m 17 now, no big deal. One more year and I’ll be an adult! Haha! *cries*

These Penney’s sunglasses were a treasure of a find; the amount of times I’ve been told they look more expensive!

I didn’t get to see as much of the beautiful park as I would have liked. I mentioned in my New York blogpost that this was my third visit to the city that never sleeps, so we planned different activities than the usual sightseeing of the Statue of Liberty or Empire State Building, or the coolest park in the world, in this case. We only spent about five minutes I’d say in Central Park altogether. I still saw the lovely lake with its the evening sky lined by the city skyscrapers reflected in the water. That was enough to see, for now.

I'll be back, Central Park, probably wearing culottes again.
